INOXGFL Group sought to effectively implement and maximize the potential of their in-house, automated Performance Management System & Development Planning (PMSDP), requiring their team to be fully equipped—mentally, skillfully, and technically—to use the system as a strategic tool for performance and development.

  • Build a positive mindset among employees to understand the importance of Performance Management System (PMS) and Development Planning, encouraging them to take it seriously and recognize their crucial role in its success.
  • Enhance skill sets by providing comprehensive training on:
    • How to use the PMSDP system effectively.
    • Crafting SMART KRAs (Key Result Areas) and deriving meaningful KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
    • Understanding the Performance-Potential Matrix (9-box grid) for talent assessment.
    • Applying the in-house RC2 model, a proprietary competency framework.
    • Practicing relative rating and delivering constructive feedback effectively.
  • Strengthen tool sets by thoroughly familiarizing teams with the technical use and functionalities of their in-house PMSDP software.

Intervention by My Sarthi Training

My Sarthi Training partnered with INOXGFL Group to ensure the successful and comprehensive adoption of their in-house Performance Management System & Development Planning (PMSDP) through a multi-phased, strategic training intervention:

Step 1: Understanding the system and requirements 

My Sarthi Training initiated the project with detailed meetings involving the Corporate HR Head and Regional HR Head. The primary objective was to gain an in-depth understanding of INOXGFL’s in-house Performance Management System & Development Planning (PMSDP). This step also focused on gaining clarity regarding existing challenges related to employee mindset, system adoption rates, and the under-utilization of the automated PMSDP system.

Step 2: Content refinement 

My Sarthi Training meticulously reviewed the client’s existing training modules provided by the HR team. The content was then refined and simplified, translating complex concepts into easily digestible information. Crucially, the content was aligned with actual on-ground application, ensuring practical relevance. The refinement specifically addressed all three critical areas: Mindset (why PMSDP is important), Skill Set (how to effectively use PMSDP functionalities, set KRAs/KPIs, give feedback), and Tool Set (technical proficiency with the software).

Step 3: Designing engaging delivery 

To maximize learning retention and active participation, My Sarthi Training redesigned the training methodology to make sessions highly interactive, practical, and engaging. This involved incorporating various activities, real-life examples, stimulating group discussions, and relevant real-case scenarios to ensure deeper understanding, knowledge retention, and personal ownership of the PMSDP process.

Step 4: Nationwide training rollout – Year 1 

In the first year, My Sarthi Training executed a large-scale, nationwide rollout. Over 20 customized training sessions were delivered across 4 states and 6 key locations. During this phase, over 350 participants, including managers, site heads, and functional leaders, received comprehensive PMSDP training, laying the foundational understanding for the new system.

Step 5: Extended rollout – Year 2 

My Sarthi Training continued the intervention into a second year, focusing on deepening system integration and further embedding the performance management culture. An additional 450 participants were reached, with a strong emphasis on practical implementation, fostering internal coaching capabilities, and cultivating a sense of system ownership throughout the organization.

  • Effective and smooth PMSDP implementation: The Performance Management System & Development Planning (PMSDP) was effectively and smoothly implemented across all departments and locations, overcoming initial adoption hurdles.
  • Resolved implementation issues: My Sarthi Training successfully identified and resolved 13 key implementation issues, ensuring seamless adoption and functionality of the PMSDP system.
  • Addressed frequently raised queries: The intervention effectively addressed 8 frequently raised queries from employees, which were previously acting as barriers to proper usage and clarity of the system, fostering greater understanding and confidence.
  • Constructive system enhancements: My Sarthi Training suggested and facilitated the implementation of 5 constructive changes to the PMSDP, significantly enhancing its effectiveness and user-friendliness as a strategic HR tool.
  • Developed practical case studies: To support deeper understanding and real-life application of PMSDP concepts, 12 practical case studies were developed, providing tangible examples for employees.
